Patch 4
Custom Options » Devlog
With the release of wigglercola's new mod, Nuclear Throne: Uncharted Frontier (which uses Custom Options), I was reminded that Custom Options couldn't open its menu mid-run in v100. Given that v100 is the most common way to play for Steam players (from my understanding), in addition to an update 100 for Nuclear Throne based off of v100 being right around the corner, this needed fixing.
Changes:
- The options menu can now be opened mid-run on v100 (and hopefully, update 100 when it arrives)
- Golden Epsilon found a method to hide the vanilla game's settings, after conversing with YellowAfterlife, and shared it with me. I made use of it. Thank you!
- You must load the custom_options_v100_patch.mod.ntgml file with Custom Options if you want v100 to be functional. It will error once on earlier versions of NTT, but that is harmless and I still recommend it.
- Values shouldn't get cut off anymore when they're larger than the option's splat sprite.
- The button labeled with a mod's name for opening that mod's options menu won't be re-created every step on v100 anymore.
- This may have happened on 9944 too, and I was oblivious.
- The button for entering a mod's options menu now plays the hover noise when hovered over, in addition to rising one pixel.
